North Gaza has been bombarded with increasing intensity over the past month, and the suffering of those trapped there continues to worsen. The bombings intensify around Jabalia refugee camp, children remain trapped under the rubble, the sick and wounded are left without reliable access to healthcare, and essential supplies are being denied and blocked. Hundreds have been killed, and more than 60,000 people have been forced to flee—yet again—for their lives.

Healthcare is under siege violence

At a time when access to medical care has never been more critical, it is also at the greatest risk.

Israeli forces have once again surrounded and opened fire on the three largest hospitals in the north: the Kamal Adwan, Al-Awda, and Indonesian hospitals.

These hospitals are the only ones even partially operational in the area, and haven’t yet recovered from previous Israeli sieges. Hundreds of patients and staff remain trapped inside.

The ever-worsening escalation of violence and non-stop Israeli military operations that we have been witnessing over the past two weeks in northern Gaza have horrifying consequences. When hospitals are attacked, their infrastructure destroyed, and the electricity cut off, the lives of patients and medical staff are under threat.
